This webinar focuses on the process of converting non-food biomass into transportation fuels, especially SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), and what the challenges are associated with bio-oil upgrading and improving the process’s overall efficiency. We will hear from CSIC-ITQ about the co-processing of pyrolysis liquids with FCC (Fluid catalytic cracking) and from Tüpras about the use of hydroprocessing units in the upgrading process. The speakers will tell us about the current state of technology, the limits for fuel properties, and furture opportunities.
